On Palm Sunday, March 29th in our Children’s Sanctuary, families will journey through stations and participate in impactful activities as they “Walk With Jesus” during his last days on earth. They will: Travel to Jerusalem for Palm Sunday, Sit down for the Last Supper, Pray in the Garden of Gethsemane, Discover the sacrifice of Good Friday, and Celebrate freedom from their sins at the empty tomb that first Easter morning. It’s an experience they’ll never forget. Starts at 9:30 a.m. during the Sunday School hour and runs thru the Morning Worship Service.
The MVNU Collegians Chorale will be performing Sunday Morning April 12th.
Directed by Dr. Robert Tocheff: Collegians Chorale will present a wide variety of choral music from the choir's fall and spring repertoire.
The feature presentation will be Robert Ray's Gospel Mass, an inspirational rendition of the standard mass movements in an African American style. In contrast the choir will present the Kyrie from Mozart's Requiem Mass. Another highlight will be Jonathan Rathbone's Finnish "Sakkijarven Polka," a very rhythmic and humorous piece featuring senior Cody Thomas on tuba.
Collegians Chorale is one of four choral ensembles at MVNU. They perform frequently on campus for events such as chapel, Homecoming, Advent Service, and Baccalaureate. They also join the Choral Union for the annual Messiah performance. Members represent a variety of academic majors and denominational backgrounds.
